Industry Expereience 

Tom has extensive professional experience, managing a variety of clients in size, scope and industry. Tom’s primary experience is in the leadership of large complex multi-national risk management accounts, with a focus on analytical analysis, risk optimization, and holistic service platforms. Tom applies a risk management decision-making process to effectively assess, control and finance his clients’ loss exposures in order to reduce a company’s overall cost of risk while preserving their enterprise value.

A significant part of Tom’s daily client support and consultation activities include leveraging his expertise to act as a dedicated advocate in negotiations with insurers and his clients’ partners. He takes a total cost of risk approach, which balances cost and long term risk concerns when consulting for his clients. Tom’s focus is on re-claiming time for his clients by offering simple but effective strategies that are aligned with their corporate and individual goals. The outcome allows for business efficiencies and best practices to be incorporated in to a client’s business model and culture.

Prior to joining the Hylant, Tom worked at Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. in San Francisco, California.
