Join us as we welcome Mr. Charles T. Young, "Tallie",Managing Director- Foreign Exchange Risk Mgmt. Fifth Third Bank to be our guest speaker on Friday, March 22nd, 2019 at The Clifton Club. Our March Link Club luncheon will offer a high-level review of BREXIT mileposts to date as well as insight into the stumbling blocks that have caused such a protracted BREXIT negotiation with the EU. Additionally, Mr. Young will discuss the possible scenarios that could play out before the Article 50 deadline of March 29 and beyond. Finally, he will look at possible FX rate implications going forward, from both a short and long-term perspective.
Tallie has been with Fifth Third Bank for the past 13 years, heading up the Bank's Cleveland Foreign Exchange Desk in the bank’s Capital Markets Group. He has 32 years of experience in foreign exchange, the first 10 working for an east coast bank. After 1 year in FX Operations, he moved to the trading desk as an interbank day trader, then proprietary trader taking currency positions for the bank. In the early-90’s, Talliemoved into Foreign Exchange Corporate Advisory & Execution followed by a move in 1997 to Cleveland to join the FX Sales Team at KeyBank. Tallie then joined Fifth Third Bank in 2006 and has been working with corporate relationships since to provide FX risk management ideas and market liquidity.
Tallie received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in 1987. He moved to the Cleveland area in 1997 and lives in Bay Village, Ohio with his wife and four children. Additionally, Tallie has three grown children from his prior marriage, all of whom live on the east coast.
